1) Cute, lovely design, letters could have been readable.. - Lovely colors and design. I wish though the letters on the map can be read. I have a very good vision but it was disappointing when i opened many small letters are unreadable to naked eye.. if they were readable, it would bear much more value as a gift.

2) Perfect for my costume! - I purchased this to incorporate into a Steampunk-style Velma costume. While this certainly isn't your grandpa's pocket watch, it's good quality "fashion jewelry". The map is crisp, the hands are a delicate filigree, and the zodiac calender gives it a mystical feel. The latch works well, and it is very easy to set. After more than 6 months the watch is still holding time properly. The watch casing is 1.75" in diameter.
