SOME OF THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS WATCH [ SAMPLE ]
1) So... this thing is surprisingly good. Especially for the price. - I got this on a "how bad can it be?" whim. Turns out that it does exactly what it says on both iphone and android. You have to download an app to get full function on android, but it's simple. Updated firmware is a web search away. Not too shabby. It's no galaxy gear 2, but then again it works with the three phone I tried. iPhone 5, kitkat version of a note 3 and a galaxy 4 all working as advertised.
The only weirdness is pairing up an iphone and suddenly having music come out of your wrist (simply set sound output back to phone or earpiece btw, but it scared the hell outta me the first time my phone rang)
The watch itself is metal and pretty good quality, but I replaced the admittedly low rent band. For the record, The U8 takes any 22mm flat end band. I had to measure it with calipers as this in not documented. Anywhere. You're welcome.
Long story short, this is well worth the price. It's no iwatch, no galaxy gear, but it's also half the price and does a great job doing its thing. Nice!

2) Awesome Watch - Very cool smart watch that works very well. I've never owned one before, so I can't say what a more expensive option would have that would justify spending more money, but I don't feel like I'm "settling" with this watch by any means. It looks good, it's at a very reasonable price point, and it works great with my Samsung Galaxy Mega.
My favorite part of having this watch is being able to keep my phone on silent in my pocket (or even elsewhere in the house, for that matter) and being able to receive text messages and phone calls. It's perfect for my line of work; when I'm working in someone's home they don't have to overhear my phone constantly alerting me of texts or calls, and I can even glance at who's calling me while engaged in conversation without rudely pulling out my phone in front of them. The vibration of the watch is more than adequate to get my attention.
The speaker is loud enough to have a phone conversation if you're indoors and in relative quiet, but in a public area or outdoors with background noise you'd be holding the watch to your ear the same as you would if you just used the phone. My car generates a little too much road noise to make using the watch for calls practical (plus I have a hands-free system, anyway), but if your vehicle is a quiet ride you could probably use it comfortably. The microphone seems to pick up voice very well.
The battery life is fantastic... just for kicks, I purposely didn't charge it to see how long it would last, although I did turn it off overnight. It lasted 3 days, and still had enough battery that I probably could have gone another full day before it needed a charge. This test was with it connected to my phone all day, and using it to view texts and even taking a few calls through it.
The screen is very responsive and comfortable to use. Text is large enough to read comfortably. The screen stays black, to save the battery, until you tap the side button to light it up and check the time, and then goes dark after a user defined amount of time (10, 15, 30 or 50 seconds). At first this is a little annoying that you can't just look at it and read the time, but it's a quick transition to develop the habit of tapping the button. I don't even think about it anymore, it's practically automatic now.
There are a few extra little "apps" on the watch: a barometer, altimeter, pedometer, and stopwatch. They work, but I doubt you'll really use them. The altimeter is "relative", which means that you open the app and then it measures your ascent or descent in relation to when you started the app. The stopwatch has to remain open, or else it stops and resets.
There are also a couple of features that are handy: an anti-lost option, which will alert you when you wander a certain user-defined distance from your phone. Handy if you're the type who leaves your phone behind with any regularity. There is a camera control, which gives you a live view on your watch through your phone's camera, and you can tap the watch to snap a photo. Great for having the phone looking at a device's power light in another room while I flip breakers, looking at the live feed on my watch to see when the device's power light goes off. Also good for group shots that you would like to be in without the little "hurry up and get in the shot" jog you make when you use your phone's timed shot option.
It syncs with your phonebook, but unless you have very few contacts, it's really not a convenient way to dial out. I guess if you were working alone on a roof and left your phone up there and the ladder fell while you were on it and you broke your back when you hit the ground, you could still find who you needed to call... unless it's too far, like a 3 story or more building, in which case you'd be dead anyway. There's also a number dialer, so you can manually enter a phone number, too (like "911" in my previous example). It also syncs your call logs, which can be handy for quick call-backs, if you are in a conducive environment for a watch-facilitated call, as mentioned earlier.
The text message feature is for reading texts only, you cannot send. And no, it doesn't jive with voice commands, so you cannot utilize speech-to-text, either.
It will alert you of any notifications that appear in your notification bar, with whatever verbiage that alert provides. It will tell you when you have a new email, and will show who it is from, but that's all. You cannot read an email from the watch.
The quality of the watch is very good. It doesn't feel or look cheap. The band is not bad, but it's nothing special, either. It's comfortable and does the job, but I'll probably put a little nicer one on one of these days. I'm not in any rush to switch it out, if that tells you anything.
The manual it comes with was obviously written in another language and then translated, but it's not too bad. If you know how to use a smart phone, the use and features of this watch are pretty self-evident.
Over all, I really love this watch. The few things it can't do (which may be things the more expensive watches can do?) are things I really couldn't care less about, anyway. It does everything I want it to, and does them very well, all at a price that doesn't break the bank or make the little woman question my spending habits.
I would recommend this watch to someone looking for a good quality product with really handy features at a bargain price.
